What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Our contact form collects your name and email address. The information is being sent to [email protected]. We keep those emails for one year for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted for marketing purposes.
Newsletter
You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter. To receive our newsletter we only need your email address. You might also receive emails that relate to the newsletter service. For example, during the registration process or technical changes.
We use Mailchimp.com for our email list. You can read Mailchimp’s privacy police here. Your data will only be used for the distribution of our newsletter and will not be shared otherwise.
To register you need a valid email address. To ensure that it is really the owner of the email address that is registering, we use the double-opt-in method.
You can opt-out of the newsletter mailing list at any time. A link to unsubscribe is in the footer of every newsletter we send out.
